The vast waves of human stupidity

From: NBC New York
"Passaic County charged a 14-year-old girl with child pornography for posting nude photos of herself on MySpace.com.

If she is convicted, she would have to register with the state as a sex offender under Megan's Law.

The laws generally require governments to alert neighbors of convicted sexual predators in their midst.

The girl's name has been kept confidential because she's a minor, but she allegedly posted 30 naked photos of herself on the social networking site.

Prompted by a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, authorities investigated the case for a month before zeroing in on the suspect, who said she posted the pictures for her boyfriend’s pleasure. Anyone who was online “friends” with the girl through the site or knew her name could see the pictures.

The teen was charged with one count each of possession and distribution of child pornography. Police remanded her into her mother’s custody.

A sheriff’s department spokesman told NorthJersey.com that more arrests in the case are possible."

I think that underage kids are the most routinely fucked group of individuals in this country. Any country that makes you pledge your allegiance on a daily basis, with special focus on the liberty and justice, then gives you neither is clearly fucking farcical.

The government should have no right to make restrictions governing what any human being does with their body, lest it physically harms another person. Please note that I said "physically". Hurting another person's sensibilities doesn't count.

Laws governing the moral majority, and moral ideals as a whole should be abolished. They serve no logical function whatsoever.

The question remains: Why are we punishing a slutty 14 year old for taking pictures of her self and distributing them? Who bothered to talk to the parents that gave this girl unrestricted access to all the tools she needed to be a fucking idiot and prove it to the world? I don't understand how we are no longer responsible for the action of the children we raise.
