Side note: Glue is a book by Irving Welsh, and a work of fiction. While literature is fantastic, I was obviously trying to get her to read a little non-fiction. Bloodletting, I can only assume refers to Bloodletting: A Memoir of secrets, self-harm and survival, which totally lends credence to me whole "shallow and vacant cunt who is only concerned with the superficial world" theory.
